OFFICE MANAGER

About Our Client:

Our client located in North York and is seeking an Office Manager with accounting experience for a permanent opportunity (reference #10932).

Responsibilities:

  • Handle front desk reception duties
  • Assist with Human Resource functions
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Data entry and creating reports
  • Perform assigned system related task
  • Other office administrative duties as assigned
  • Assist with Human Resources functions
  • Perform assigned system related task
  • accounting including A/P, A/R, P/R, Job Costing, & Equipment costing to the point of trial balance
  • Government remittance calculations and timely remittances of HST, Payroll, completion of ROE, T4 when required
  • Payroll processing
  • Preparation of YE documents for an external accounting firm.
  • General clerical and facility management duties as needed including mail/courier, proofread and word process documents, photocopy, phone system management, greet visitors, file, order supplies, equipment, repairs, security and run errands.
  • Bookkeeping – Payroll, invoices, managing credit cards and documenting expenses.
  • Maintaining all client files, samples and catalogue system.
  • Monthly invoicing
  • Balancing client trust accounts
  • Scheduling meetings, interviews and transport
  • Initial inquiries from potential clients
  • Placing orders for client projects
  • Greet visitors at office
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound office mail
  • Oversee stock of office supplies
  • Receive and schedule couriers
  • Staffing
  • Coordinate and organize office activities
  • Responsible for a small retail furniture showroom in the front of the office


Skills, Experience

  • 5 years minimum comparable experience bookkeeping and office/clerical support for a similarly sized company.
  • Accounting in a construction environment and/or Construction experience is a big asset.
  • Working towards CPA would be an asset
  • Organized self-starter with great common sense who can juggle priorities and deliver tasks on time reliably.
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel,Outlook and Quickbooks
